Nature-based tourism
Nature-based tourism Is responsible way of travelling in nature. It can be walking in a nature, nature reserve areas. The main purpose is that everything happens respectfully towards nature. One of my favorite ways of doing nature-based travelling is camping.
Tourism is a business that is growing and evolving all the time, so term nature-based tourism is rapidly growing term witch has turned into trend. In the right way done nature travelling will develop overall wellbeing in an area, by supporting local businesses.
Nature-based tourism trend
More people want to experience nature more closely. People seem to want more natural travel experiences. Ways of Nature-based tourism can be tenting, hiking, and staying so-called primitive cottages in the middle of the forest. No electricity so that everything is more self-made, that is what people want more nowadays. In Finland we have so many beautiful nature destinations to explore. Especially in Lapland and one of my favorite place is located middle of Finland and its called Southern Konnevesi National Park. Research made by booking says that 82% of travelers keep ecology as a significant value when making decisions related to traveling. The popularity of the nature tourism can be seen in social media posts when people are posting Instagram pictures when they are renovating a traveling van, going cycling in Europe, or moving to Lapland to live in the middle of nowhere for a short period. Travelling does not get any better than that. Since we are living in world of constant rush, performance pressure, and phones in hand. So nature-based traveling will relax travelers and give nature that respect it deserves.
