BEURS X C’VENT

Beurs Van Berlage is a building in Holland build in 1896-1906. Main use is for conferences but it is also used as a venue to host a parties, exhibitions, concerts etc. Even the King and Queen of Netherlands held their wedding there in 2002. It is located exactly in the central of Amsterdam. The venue is very unique and beautiful but it had a hard time to catch the eye of its target audience.

Danielle Coelen is a senior sales manager in Beurs Van Berlage. She and a company called C’vents (it’s an online company that helps other companies, venues especially with their event management) together really boosted Beurs visibility and it became more known also for people outside of Netherlands. Beurs is now visible on a worldwide RFP platform (RFP=request for proposal) thanks to c’vent. C’vent also helps the building and it’s management still to this day on how to handle their many RFPs more effectively. So it was not just a one time procurement but more like a liaison and team work now.

In my opinion Beurs looks like a very beautiful building and it has a lots of potential for many things. I am very happy to hear that it now has a higher demand than it used to. Also happy to hear that it is in use for everybody not only for big corporation or rich and famous. What I have understood anybody can host an event there. Sounds fun right? Of course it depends on how much money is in use or is the venue available at the time. About renting space for example for a birthday party I got no idea how much it would cost. Since making inquire you need to leave your contacts and someone will call or email from Beurs team back to you after leaving your inquiry.

In the article that I studied for this post it is fascinating how one company really helped the other. Beurs Van Berlage the building was already there but not in use or at least not as much as it should be. Another cool thing to me was that c’vent helped the sales management to make Beurs much more known place but also after that the c’vent company still offers many services how to help with the managing of Beurs many requests and how to do it effectively.

This is such a good example of a business idea. Service that buys more services from another service! Which in this case was the Beurs building using a c’vents services.
