Hello everybody!
I am Milja 27 yo soon to be 28, in November. I live in Kerava but I am born and raised in Helsinki. Moved here in last December with my partner.
I was then 8 months pregnant and we found this nice 3 bedroom apartment and bought it. It was not the best time to buy house but we really wanted to find a nice and bigger place to live with our baby. She’s now 9months old, super happy, always smiling also for strangers, she just learned how to stand up against couch, chairs etc. She keeps me super busy. My maternity leave actually just ended 2 days ago. But I am still staying at home taking care of her and also trying to focus on my studies. My current plan is to stay at home for another year but time will tell if it’s actually financially doable.
It is funny to see how I introduce myself now days, talking about my baby and not about me actually. But the thing is she is my everything right now, obviously!
Anyway more about me just a bit, I’ve worked for Finnair 7 years now. My title is called Gate Service Agent and we do check-ins for flights (for passengers and their luggage,) document checks, boarding passengers to planes, meeting arriving planes and guiding passengers at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. I love my job airport as a work place is such an unique environment and we really have the best colleagues there. But to be honest I am kind of weary from customer service job. It’s all I’ve ever done even before my current job.
I hope that after this school when we graduate and have a BHM degree I can find another position inside Finnair corporation. We have plenty interesting open positions in our HQ which requires bachelor’s degree.
That’s about me, now into my expectations on this study unit! At first I thought that it looks complicated but all courses does to me in the beginning. Diving more into this course it actually is quite complex in my opinion. I think the required tasks are okey but places where and when to return tasks are quite odd. When usually there are return boxes under the task and its instructions now you need to ‘go back and beyond, leave comment here and there’ to return an assignment also the schedule is pretty tight.
Oh boy I just hope that I am doing the right thing over here right now.

Anyway that’s my first blogpost! Or actually second since I made the reaction paper before this one.
