Last summer I spent a month abroad backpacking with my friend. It was a trip to remember for a long time. I fell in love with the food, kind people and many beautiful cities. In total, we visited five different countries around the Europe. In this blog post I will be telling the highlights of every country and city we went to.

My route across the Europe

1. Berlin, Germany

The last day of May we left Finland behind us. First destination was Berlin and we spent there three days in total. Berlin was full of history and many tourist attractions. On our first day there we visited Tiergarten, a very big park with attractions inside it. It was my favorite spot in the city, full of peaceful places and still in the middle of the big city. You can do sports in there, have a nice picnic, just walk around and enjoy the nature or even sunbathe and relax. There is smaller parks inside the one huge one, for example with old historic buildings and gardens to see.

2. Prague, Czech Republic

After Berlin we took a train to Prague. We spent there 2 days. There were lot to see and mostly we were only walking around the city and seeing attractions. I loved the architecture, old and colorful buildings everywhere. I liked also people performing on the streets just for fun and others gathering around them to watch and sing along. Good vibes!

3. Paris, France

In Paris we got to enjoy 2 days as well. The greatest thing was definitely to see the Eiffel Tower at night, sparkling beautifully. It was hard to find the best places in there within such a short time. Restaurants what we found were a bit touristic and expensive. Our hotel located also a bit more far away from attractions and city center. Our area was unfortunately quite dirty, especially when the weather was very hot during the whole stay.

4. Naples, Italy

Naples was my favorite from all places. I loved the food, pizza and pasta with a glass of good wine. There was nice beaches where you can swim and beautiful views from the streets where you can always include Vesuvius in your pictures as well. We visited Pompeii ruins as well. Visiting Pompeii made a strong impression on me. It was breathtaking to see the way people have lived so many years ago.

5. Parga, Greece

Last destination was Parga in Greece. We spent one week there and wanted to relax in some beach destination after seeing and walking around so many big cities. It was a very good way to end the holiday. People were very friendly everywhere and I enjoyed the Greek food the most. Laying in the sun and swimming at times made me so happy. On the other hand it was relaxing to have some rainy days as well and just go out to have a dinner and drinks. What a good place for a person to be!
