Post about my school experience in Spain

This blog post is about my own experience and feelings when I went to abroad tour guide school in Spain.

Where it all began

In June of 2021 I got excepted to a guide school in Spain. It was a foreign tour guide school that was held in Fuengirola and the school was in Finnish. 11.10.2021 I started my trip to that beautiful country.

The school lasted about a month, so in that time I had to complete all school-related studies and graduate. That time was full of so many emotions. Happiness, anger, sadnesses, tiredness, fear and joy. Us students were so much stress in that time but we still managed to make through that time day by day. The journey itself was amazing but I personally don’t think I would do it again because i realized that

School days

We had school 6 days a week and one day off. We had skills demonstration tests twice a week and we needed to prepare for them on the days that we had time. Our free time went pretty much studying. The teachers were nice but strict but it was understandable because the school was only a month long.

We also had rules to follow. For example no partying in the clubs, always have someone with you at night time (safety reasons), masks had to be on everywhere and if you did something wrong you got a warning and needed to write a apology e-mail to your supervisor. Almost all of our rules was because of COVID.

Memorable moments

We also had our fun of course. Our group went to eat almost every night and talked about our lifes. Some days we took a breaks from the studies and we went to visit nearby cites It was very nice to have some time off and enjoy the country. Some of us even met some local people and they became friends with them.

My thoughts

The trip was my most memorable time of my life. I remember all the times that i cry and all the times that I laughed. But I don´t regret anything even tho sometimes i felt like giving up and going home. I met so many new people that are still in my life and i am grateful for them. I got courage and wisdom but most important thing I outdid myself.
