“Dreams do come true” a cliché or a decision ?

Introductions

Hi! My name is Inka I am 20 years old and I live in Oulu. Blogging is totally new to me and to be honest a bit exciting. It’s nice to try something completely new that I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise.

My own home

For such a long time I dreamed of moving out and starting my own life. Then when I got a job and a steady income I could finally start to look for a home. I got really lucky and my grandparents bought a detached house which I could rent. But first the whole house had to be renovated. It was a looong process but I’m glad we did it. I had the possibility to select everything! I got to select the floor, tiles, wall paint and my favorite thing was to design the kitchen. Now I have a home that looks exactly the way I want it to. And the renovating was surprisingly fun! The most fun part was painting the walls.

Becoming independent

Before moving to my own place I lived with my grandparents and my uncle. So you can guess that I really needed my own space. The hardest thing was sleeping because I work at nights and my grandparents woke up like 8 am. So now life in general has gotten way easier because I can sleep when I need to hahah. Becoming independent was something that I needed and I give it a lot of value.

Dream pet

I grew up with dogs but always still wanted a cat too. Now I finally have a cat called Siru. Getting a cat was also a big decision for me. I’ve never owned an animal alone before in which case all responsibility would be mine. But again I am happy with my decision. Siru is so social and likes to follow me around.

Dare to be yourself

I wanted to write about this topic because I want to encourage everyone to be themselves and make difficult decisions. They can have really great result and even if it doesn’t you learn a lot from it.

Renovating my home and becoming independent are my biggest achievements in life. I hope that by reading this you can be inspired to follow your dreams!
