There I can be in peace. There are no neighbors, major roads, or other disturbances. There, I feel like a part of nature. That place is called mökki. Kaamasen mökki.

The distance is long, currently 356 km. Still, I can go there just for a weekend trip or longer visiting. My grandfather built that mökki, before he got sick. We have spent summers, autumns, winters, and springs there. My best childhood memories are from there. We have spent time there with family friends, relatives, and friends. Shared berry-picking trips and woodcutting bring warm memories to my mind. The best thing about there is the puusauna, outdoors fireplace and the river flowing nearby.

In the summer, it’s nice to take a dip in the river during the sauna. One of my favorite things is to visit the local kyläbaari, Kaamasen kievari. There’s a pool table that’s enjoyable to play. They also have the most expensive petrol in Finland. I visit mökillä maybe once a year, and I miss to go there even more. I need to go there as soon as possible to spend peacful moments.
In the future I would like to have my own place and create new memories there. Maybe one day!
