Professor Timo Kumpula (CHARTER Work Package 1) and CHARTER project leader Bruce Forbes,  were able to do some maintenance on a long term met-albedo station located on the border of Norway and Finland in Enontekio. Translating scientific documents, even summaries can be a difficult task. The Nenets language version was made by CHARTER post doc Roza Laptander who described it as very challenging, as many of the concepts simply do not exist in the Nenets language. This speaks to one of the core challenges of partnering and working with and alongside indigenous researchers and their communities. Roza is in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.charter-arctic.org\/work-packages\/work-package-3\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"39\">Work Package 3<\/a> and will be continuing her work as a social linguist &#8211; she recently completed her PhD at the University of Lapland and it is an extraordinarily insightful read. You can download it <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lauda.ulapland.fi\/handle\/10024\/64168\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next week (25th November, 15-1630 EEST), the Arctic Centre will be holding one of its Arctic Cafe sessions and CHARTER will be taking part (project leader Bruce Forbes and project coordinator Sirpa Rasmus) alongside LUKE&#8217;s Pasi Rautio (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.luke.fi\/arctichubs\/\" target=\"_blank\">ArcticHubs<\/a> project) and Tanja Joona (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/justnorth.eu\" target=\"_blank\">JustNorth<\/a>), who will all be giving introductions to their respective projects.
