It has been a few days now after the study trip to Dalarna. I would say, that it was quite a week. Definitely an intensive course. Days were full wit programme and things to do. Since I am already on “a trip” here in Rovaniemi (I live in Kokkola now) it was at some point exhausting to be on a trip while having a trip, if you understand what I am trying to say!

Working with the master students from Dalarna University truly was something new and also partly challenging. They are used to have more theoretical studies, a lot of reading, writing and studying for exams, whereas we in Lapland UAS have a lot more practical experience, how to develop the destination. Overall it was a good experience. It was good to challenge the ways we are used to do the group works, and I believe the Dalarna students feel the same way. I really hope that other tourism students get to experience this kind of intensive courses as well. It is good to work with a destination you do not know before and also see other ways to study and do group working.

It feels good to be back in Rovaniemi, with some new skills brought with us from Dalarna. Having a common trip with the DPT 13 students at the end of the studies was a great experience. We are so close to graduation and soon everyone will go their own paths and this was probably the last time we were all together.
