When I was in the Old Rauma, I was amazed by the architecture of this city. Because of the fall, all the trees were the complementary color of the buildings.

When you walk down the streets, see this beautiful weather, those bright colours and look at the buildings you feel the atmosphere of old times. All that I saw could move me to the 19th century.

Based on that feeling, the first marketing idea that came up to my mind was to promote cultural inspiration. My suggestion is to create a YouTube series.

There are two options for that idea. First, is happening in the 18th century and is connected with the history of Finland’s independence.

In this series it can be nice to show not only history, but also the influence of this historical moment of people’s lives. So, the main aim of the show is to promote Suomi 100 celebration and also Rauma as a destination.

The second possible plot could be happening in the 20th century. The genre of this show could be a detective story happening in Rauma (Old Rauma). It would make potential tourists to follow the character line.

The costumes of the actors could be borrowed from local theater or stitched by old patterns. In order to interest a young generation in historical researches on work on a big project all the working groups could be taken from universities and schools.

less expensive, as an option for the role of director, script writers, camera man and actors could be involved students who study art or those who would like to try their hand in that type of project.

How it is supposed to be a marketing tool for Old Rauma? First of all, people who are going to work on this project going to visit that place (and probably their family and friends in order to see how do they work and based on recommendations)

Second of all, people would be interested in

such a big project, so they would start to watch it on YouTube and would be passionate about visiting the place.

One of the main reasons would be to see the place where cultural promotion of Suomi 100 would take place. I really hope that this project would work and soon we will see masterpiece about Old Rauma.
