This means that anyone can go and download the latest version of these programs for free from the <a title=\"Open the HotPot web site\" href=\"http:\/\/hotpot.uvic.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hot Potatoes website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you use an older limited version of <strong>Hot Potatoes 6<\/strong> or <strong>Quandary 2<\/strong>, we advise you to remove it from your PC and download and install the unlimited freeware version. These latest versions (as of February 2010) are <strong>Hot Potatoes 6.3<\/strong> and <strong>Quandary 2.4<\/strong>. If you still have a (licensed) version of <strong>Hot Potatoes 5<\/strong> or <strong>Quandary 1<\/strong>, you are advised to keep those and install the newer versions on the side.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hot Potatoes<\/strong> and <strong>Quandary<\/strong> are easy-to-use editor tools with which you can make self-test exercises for use on the Web. These self-test exercises can be uploaded and used in Moodle, both as stand alone self-test exercises and as graded activities (i.e. that send grades to the Moodle gradebook. Properly made self-test exercises,\u00a0 including feedback and, for example, with pictures or sound files, can greatly enhance your online learning material.
