On the 11th of October we had a chance to visit a village, called Kierinki. Even though the number of inhabitants is low, the area is quite big for the village. People make money mostly from agricultural activities and the tourism also has an impact.
We can find information about them in their website and also at booking.com. They attend in social media like facebook.
It was around a 1,5 hour long trip to get there by bus. It was quite tiiring so there was no surprise that almost everyone was sleeping on the bus. On the way we saw many reindeers on the road, but they didn’t really cared about the bus.
When we arrived the owner and her daughter welcomed us in their business. They talked about its history and how they managed to renovate the buildings and run the business. After the short introduction, they showed us the apartments, what they offer to the tourists to stay, the dining rooms, bar, the grocery store and there is also a gas station at the village.

They have many houses with 2-4-6 capacity. It is furnished with originally traditional equipments, or renovated ones. There are planty of arts on the wall, which have been made by the owner and her family. They are really talented in painting and creating stylish arts.

After we visited the accomodations and bars, we went to the lake where is a beautiful landscape and an oppotunity for boating and grilling afterwards. There is also a traditional Finnish sauna, so people can enjoy their time there too.

After our trip, we went back to the restaurant place, where we were welcomed with warm and delcious lunch and dessert also.
I could feel the enthusiasm and passion as the owner and her daughter talked about their company. This is their life!
