The learning café was a discussion with classmate around different subject. The subject was choosen by each member of the class according to each member’s preference. So I naturally wanted to choose to a subject that I did not know. I have chosen the Zero Moment Of Truth. It was an unknown subject for me, and even if my major is marketing in France, I have never heard of that.

After that, my group and I decided to work and know what is the ZMOT (Zero Moment Of Truth) separately. The goal was to have some knowledge about that before having a conversation.

The ZMOT characterizes the fact that between a first advertising stimulus and its first contact with the product at point of sale (FMOT), the consumer will often engage in a product-related search for information that can strongly influence his decision to purchase.

 

With this subject, I learned many thing about the making decision process, as much on the old as the new with the emergeance of new technology.

we had to learn about the completeness of the subject to be able to integrate it well and understand the issues. Indeed, to learn something from someone, you have to know him perfectly and know his environment to answer questions.

So, we have work on all of this point to know exactly the issues of this subject and understand on which point is based the “new” job of marketer in a company.

In all of the job, I always agree with the member of the group because every person has give to the group his idea, his knowledge. Each people has considered the job of each person. I find this groupwork really efficient because of the previous independent work.

I find this method of work really interesting. Indeed, we can explain our subject with other student without the stress of a presentation in front of all the class. The ambience was really cool, and we will can learn many things about many subject without the atmosphere “strict” of a course. And when we had to present it in front of the professor and the classmate, it was easy because we had present it a lot of time, so we knew exactly what to say, fluently.
