Mount Porovaara is located about 15km from Rovaniemi city centre. Destination is on the top of mount Porovaara. There are reindeerhence, panorama-terrace, fireplaced wooden teepee aka Kota and toilets. You can feed reindeer, pet them and take photos with them, they are tamed and used to meet people! During summer you can meet also newborn reindeer babies.
In the Kota we prepare food and enjoy mystical fire themed atmosphere. At panomarama-terrace you can see pure lappish scenery towards north. In the view there is midnight sun above river Kemijoki, endless forests and hills.
