It’s been a little more than 2 months since I arrived in Rovaniemi. It is incredible how quick the days pass through. While here, I have already visited Lofoten Islands as well as the city of Kiruna. It was an amazing trip, although now it is time to know more about Rovanimei.
When I first arrived in the city I knew very little of it, or about finnish culture. By now, I can say that Finns love sauna, and that even they seem introverted you have to get toknow them, then they are all great people.
Hiking around Rovaniemi
About the city, I have already gone to Arktikum, but I can’t wait to go there again so that a local person can explain me what is in there. It is not the same when you go on your own or when you have someone who knows what is s/he talking about.
I have had the opportunity to go to a reindeer farm where the owners where really nice and they explained us about the tradition of reindeer herding. And as Rovaniemi is the official hometown of Santa Claus, I have also gone to visit him which was awesome,I had the feeling of being 6 years old again.
Reindeer Farmin Joulukka About to meet Santa
As you have seen I have already done quite many things, but I have the feeling that I have to know more and better about the place, thats is why I’m so excited to visit the different places around Rovaniemi.
See you very soon!
