During the Finnish summer the sun never really sets. There is just a period of twilight for a few hours. This is why Finland is called the land of the midnight sun.

Lapland is the world’s largest contiguous area for picking organic berries and mushrooms.

Wild berries and mushrooms can be freely picked in Finland’s forests under everyman’s right, but be careful which varieties you pick, as some berries and mushrooms are poisonous. But no worries, there is a lot of information about this online. Besides being an adventure for the senses, a hike through the varied terrain amidst unspoiled nature is also the best possible exercise. The berries arehealthy and can be eaten just as they are when you find them. Some mushrooms need to be cooked
