Welcome to Num Nums!
Here in Num Nums, our mission is to normalize sustainable thinking and minimizing food waste in the catering industry. In addition, we want to support local and domestic food production and ethically produced food.
Instead of taking the easy and obvious route, we take the route that fits our values. We want to be able to stand behind our words and promises. For instance, to be as zero waste as possible, our containers are reusable, biodegradable, and recyclable and we avoid throwing food away. Instead, we donate anything we can. To make sure our food is ethically produced, we personally visit the producers our food comes from. Our hope is that in the future we would have our own greenhouse where the compostable food would be used to grow some of our own ingredients. In addition, we aspire to be as transparent as possible in our actions. This means that you can find the information, where our food comes from, from our website.
While providing delicious food, we also want to be educational. That is why with every dish you will receive a fact of the day. For those interested, we have a section called “Towards Sustainable Food Industry”, where you can find out more about current problems in the industry and solutions entrepreneurs have come up with to solve them, as well as the ones we are utilizing.
