The project follows a strict timeline for all activities. Activities are divided into Work Packages. The figure below depicts the timelines of all single activities. The numbers present the number of the activity for the corresponding WP. These single activities are described in more detail below the figure.

The following table provides description of all single activities.

WP No. Activity Description of activity
1 1 Current state of research and practices Collection and reflection of published research as well as practices currently in place.
1 2 Definitions and classifications of athletic migration Description of definitions and classifications which help to picture athletic migration and also are required to identify different types of athletic migration (e.g., short-/mid-/long-term).

4 1 Recruitment of participants Recruitment of migrant athletes as participants for an empiric study to implement and test Dual Career measures for migrating athletes.
4 2 Selection and planning of measures Appropriate measures are selected by each partner university in agreement with its associated non-academic partner, on the basis of WP3.
4 3 Development of an assessment method Development of a questionnaire for the assessment of implemented measures through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data from the participating migrating athletes and staff being involved in the implementation.
4 4 Implementation of test phase The implementation is organised individually for each participant. The measures are implemented by each partner university and its associated non-academic partner(s) who provide training facilities, additional staff, and services required for athletes to pursue their sport at best level.
4 5 Assessment of implemented measures The data analysis and assessment of implemented measures is conducted when the data of all participants is collected from all partner universities.
4 6 Summarisation of WP4 findings This activity summarises the previous steps and key findings of WP4 and brings them together to one intellectual output and the WP’s main deliverable.
4 1 General overview, findings, and recommendations Summarising and condensing key findings of the WPs1-4. Creating an overview for a better understanding of the phenomenon, presenting key findings of the project and good practices.
5 2 Possibilities for academic organisations Providing recommendations specifically to academic stakeholders how to support migrating athletes in their Dual Career (or how to support transnational education in general, since some of the implemented measures – between academic organisations – are not restricted to Dual Career issues).
