In Finland six percent of the population are registered hunters. Since new laws in 2017 introduced at least three new species for archers, Bowhunting is on the rise.
My Journey into Bowhunting in Finland
Less than half of Europe allows Bowhunting. Being that Finland is the only European country that host home for Whitetail deer, archers are wanting to travel abroad for this reason.
Within the last 2 years I have witnessed a rise in archery as a hobby and furthermore those who take the step into hunting.
information about this is becoming known and I doubt a decline will happen soon.
I have been an archer for a decade, and recently been hunting since my residency in Finland. Speaking for myself and what I have gathered from other like-minded foreigners, hunting in the arctic is only a dream.
Regulations vastly differ in every country. I am thankful that Bow season is all year round, species and locations change.

Finland’s landscape provides plenty of opportunities for hunters. Europeans are eager to experience what it has to offer for them.
A respectful sportsman has ethnical knowledge to maintain wildlife. conservation is key by showing facts with results in how hunting in a pristine environment is vital for nature.
Archery gives me a mental state of focus and clarity at the same time, most archers would agree. I feel that this is what a lot of bow hunters strive for, the wide spectrum of challenges it gives you.
To clear your mind, to embrace physical and mental strength, to have patience. To open your senses, to listen, look, and feel.
one must not go for the intention of being provided a successful hunt. A walk in the woods with a bow in hand and enjoying its beauty is all you need.
