This accessibility statement assesses the accessibility of the struvenorth.net website.  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, levels A and AA  describe the required standards. The statement describes the identified shortcomings in the accessibility of this website and provides information on how you can give us feedback on the accessibility of the service. The key shortcomings in the accessibility of the online service are described below. The statement is based on self-assessment.

 

Content and functionalities that are not yet accessible

 

Errors in style sheet definitions

Some of the content in css files is not read by some screen readers, adn not available to people who turn off style sheets. (WCAG 1.3.1)

Elements contain duplicate attributes

The same id is used on more than one element.  (WCAG 4.1.1)

No accessible name for an image

Link name is missing in some elements, therefore screen readers read URL instead. (WCAG 2.4.4, 2.4.9 and 4.1.2)

Appropriate markup is missing in text presentation to convey information

Bold font is not conveyed through semantic markup or stated explicitly in the text. (WCAG 1.3.1)

Resizing text

Zooming is disabled for some elements. (WCAG 1.4.4)

Contrast issues in the content

The contrast ratio between text and background colour is not always sufficient. The contrast issues apply to text content, buttons, accordions and footers, for instance. (WCAG 1.4.3)

Visual indication of keyboard focus is turned off

The CSS outline or border style on some  element makes it difficult or impossible to see the dotted link focus outline. (WCAG 2.4.7)
