DAIJIRO YAMAGISHI, JUNIOR RESEARCHER
Daijiro Yamagishi is a junior researcher and doctoral student in tourism studies at the University of Lapland. Trained as an interdisciplinary tourism researcher, Daijiro specializes in qualitative methodologies such as ethnography and newspaper analysis. His previous research focused on inbound tourism and rural tourism development in Japan, exploring themes like shopping tourism, fashion and aesthetics in rural settings, and urban-rural lifestyle mobilities. His research has been published in international academic journals, including Tourism Management, Tourism Planning & Development, and Geographical Review of Japan Series B.
