The Phenomena of Arctic Nature online educational materials give you theoretical knowledge and practical tools to learn about nature-based tourism in protected areas and planning concepts for nature-based tourism.

The educational material is meant for nature-based tourism entrepreneurs, municipalities and tourism destinations, organizations managing nature protection areas and nature centres, students as well as anyone interested in developing nature-based tourism.  

The material can be used for example

    • as orientation and educational material   
    • in developing and planning concepts for nature-based tourism services 
    • in strategic business and concept planning  
    • as self-study material as a part of or to substitute other courses. 

The Phenomena of Arctic Nature educational material includes two themes:

PLANNING CONCEPTS FOR NATURE-BASED TOURISM

The educational material is

    • completely open, digital and independent of time and place
    • based on different modules and lessons which can be studied separately
    • versatile, containing extensive learning materials such as presentations, articles, case examples, videos and figures
    • functional, including inspiring reflection tasks, practical tools and templates that help to understand, review, reflect and apply the content.
