Cross-institutional studies

Adding cross-institutional studies to your study plan and enrollment

1. Select the Study selection tab in your study plan (ePSP) and select the magnifying glass icon following the study module name -> this opens the study search function
2. Choose Cross study-button and click Search
   • You can see the organizing institution next to the course code.
   • You can use cross-study filtering options to narrow down the search results to offerings from a specific university or cross study network.

3. Select the studies you want to add to your study plan by selecting Add to basket at the end of each study. Add studies to your study plan by selecting Add selected to PSP. You can identify a cross study course in your personal study plan (ePSP) by the yellow Other organization’s course symbol. By clicking on the course name, you can read more information about the course and its upcoming implementations.

4. The courses you can enroll for according to your study plan are under the title Enrollment ongoing.  You can enroll for an implementation by clicking the Enroll button.

5. The service asks you to approve the transfer of contact information to the target University. By accepting the transfer, you can register for the course.

You can see the enrollment status (accepted – rejected) in your personal study plan (ePSP) and any potential future credits.

When you register for a course in another university for the first time, you will receive an automatic message that your registration has been approved. The message contains instructions related to studying. In the future there will be no automatic message of this kind from the same university.

Transfer of Study Records

After completing the course, your credits will be automatically transferred to your home university. You can see the credits in your own study records. You can identify courses completed through cross study by the cross study symbol. When you hover the mouse pointer over the symbol, you can see the host organization.

Enrollment in studies offered by Cross-institutional studies -service outside PSP

You can find the cross-institutional studies on the student’s desktop on the Enrollments tab from the Search for courses -function, if the enrollment time is ongoing.

1. Choose the Search for courses -function.
2. Select the filtering of Cross-institutional studies-services and you will see the Cross-institutional studies network sites for which you have the right to enroll.
3. After selecting network you can apply for studies offered by that network.
4. Once you have found the right course, select “Enroll”.
5. The service asks you to approve the transfer of contact information to the target . By accepting the transfer, you can register for the course.

The course goes into external studies section in your PSP.
