Lapin AMKin toimintamallit kiinnostavat: opetussuunnitelma ja siihen liittyvät pedagogiset ratkaisut, yhteisopettajuus, tiimitoiminta opiskelussa, oppimisen tuki, työelämäorientaatio ja tekemällä oppiminen, kehittävä arviointi, opettajien pedagogiset valmiudet, jopa koko koulujärjestelmän rakenne.

Yrittäjyyden opettamisella on pisimmät perinteet pohjoisamerikkalaisissa, brittiläisissä ja hollantilaisissa yliopistoissa. Suomen ammattikorkeakouluissa on myös tiedostettu, että yrittäjyyttä voi oppia jo opiskeluaikana. Yhteisöllinen verkkotyöskentely tarjoaa mahdollisuudet kansainväliseen toimintaan.

Students should quite independently be allowed to acquire the entrepreneurial competencies but the tutors and mentors should assist and support the students when help is required. The method is called scaffolding.

MEDICO-ryhmään kuuluu neljä ammattikorkeakoulua Suomesta, yksi Ruotsista ja Tanskasta sekä kaksi yliopistoa Norjasta ja Islannista. Hoitotyön koulutusta ja opetusta kehittävä ryhmä kokoontui marraskuussa Tanskassa.
