Oppikirjaprojektimme taustalla oli moninäkökulmaisen opetusmateriaalin tarve sijaishuollon opetuksen tueksi. Oppikirjan tekeminen oli toisaalta haastava ja kovasti työtä vaativa, mutta samalla se tarjosi mahdollisuuden olla uuden äärellä ja nähdä sijaishuoltoon liittyviä ilmiöitä toisella tavalla kuin ennen.
Digitaitoihin liittyy myös medialukutaito ja terveyden lukutaito. OdigO-hankkeen ytimessä on ymmärrys siitä, että edistyneisiin digitaitoihin kuuluu myös taito auttaa ja ohjata muita digitaitoihin liittyvissä kysymyksissä.
Vahvuuksien tunnistaminen ja hyödyntäminen edistävät paitsi esimiehen omaa, myös organisaatioiden ja työyhteisöjen kestävää menestystä ja työhyvinvointia. Verkostojohtamisessa korostuu rehellisyys tärkeänä vahvuutena luottamuksen rakentamisessa eri tahojen kesken ja välille.
Poronhoito on vanhin edelleen elinvoimaisista pohjoisen elinkeinoista. Poronhoitotyön osaamiseen kuuluu paljon hiljaista tietoa, jota opitaan, kun lapset kasvavat poronhoitotöissä ja vanhimmat osallistuvat töihin niin kauan kuin toimintakykyä riittää. Poronhoitajankin kohdalla kyse on kuitenkin ammatista, ja ammattitaitovaatimukset muuttuvat.
Porotalouden tulonmuodostumisen perusta ovat lihanmyynnistä saatavat tulot. Poroteurastuksessa syntyvät sivutuotteet eli kaikki lihan ohella porosta saatavat materiaalit tuovat mahdollisuuden lisäansioihin. Taljat rahaksi -hankkeessa poronomistajia aktivoidaan raakataljojen jalostamiseen.
Hankkeiden toteuttamisessa ei aina tietoisesti ajatella, että myös hankkeiden toteuttajat oppisivat niistä. KIELO-hankkeessa tehtiin toisin.
Itsensä johtaminen ja yhteistyöosaaminen ovat nousseet tärkeäksi työelämätaidoksi substanssiosaamisen lisäksi. YAMK-opintojemme edetessä huomasimme, että johtamiseen liittyvän osaamisen lisäksi matkaan tarttui osaamista myös aikataulujen hallinnasta, elämän priorisoinnista, oman hiljaisen tiedon esilletuomisesta sekä muiden alojen erilaisten näkökulmien ymmärtämisestä.
Murtumapotilaiden hoitaminen on osa kaikkien sairaanhoitajien työtä akuuttiklinikalla. Mehiläinen Länsi-Pohjan keskussairaalalle laadittiin YAMK-opinnäytetyönä koulutusmalli, joka ottaa huomioon laajemmin immobilisaatiohoitotyön prosessit.
YAMK-opinnäytetyötä varten haastateltiin verkkokoulutusammattilaisia sen selvittämiseksi, miten motivoiva ja helppokäyttöinen verkkokoulutus kannattaa rakentaa.
Jatkuva oppiminen on tärkeää kaikille. Alumneille voi olla helpompaa jatkaa opintoja kotikorkeakoulussaan, kun paikka ja toimintatavat ovat jo tuttuja. Alumnitoiminnan verkostoon ovat tervetulleita Lapin ammattikorkeakoulusta valmistuneiden ohella myös korkeakoulun henkilöstön jäsenet ja sidosryhmät.
Yhteistyöllä toisen asteen koulutusorganisaatioiden kanssa otamme askeleita kohti systemaattista ja koordinoitua toimintaa jatkuvan oppimisen edistämiseksi. Yhteisellä kehittämistoiminnalla tuemme sekä yksilöiden osaamisen kehittämistä, kehitämme TNO-palveluita sekä tuemme aluekehitystä.

A shared coaching model and cooperatives boost entrepreneurship and reduce youth unemployment in the EU. In Lapland, the current availability of cooperative studies is low. Lapland UAS participated in the recently ended Cooperative Campus development project funded by Horizon Europe.

Tourism companies in Lapland are in many ways trailblazers for internationalisation, when it comes to marketing, serving customers and managing human resources internationally. In this article, we demonstrate how international students can concretely enrich the intercultural competence in local businesses.
The contact between tourists and products from Lapland ceases with the end of the trip and it is almost impossible to buy authentic Lappish goods from outside the region. An authentic, durable, and high-quality product made in Lapland has potential to be successfully marketed if it is available through modern sales channels.

A novel method – Planet-Centric Design – combines service design with systems thinking. The Idea is to increase master degree students’ awareness of sustainability in the design of new services and business concepts. Based on the student feedback, the implementation of the course was successful.
International students often do not seem to be given the chance to actually get acquainted with local Finnish people, as they instead opt to interact and experience local sights with other non-native students in the end. The Culture Bump initiative is to make planners and participants from different countries and cultures interact with one another.

The cooperation between UAS Technikum Wien and Lapland UAS facilitates student and staff exchange and networking. Over the years, the cooperation has evolved over various fields and formats.
